Let’s feed the hungry in our community.
Join us on Saturday morning, Sept. 21, at the Hunger Task Force Farm in Franklin, Wisconsin (9000 S. 68th St.)
Please join us Saturday, Sept. 21, for a PCA Milwaukee charitable outreach event in support of the Hunger Task Force of Milwaukee. With your participation, our region will make a positive impact on reducing hunger in Milwaukee. Plan to arrive at the Hunger Task Force Farm at 8:30 a.m. for coffee and donuts and a welcome from Jordan Leitner (HTF Farm volunteer coordinator). Following that we will tour the farm in an open wagon and learn how the Farm fits into the overall strategy of HTF. Our main goal for the day will be to pick apples, a fairly low-effort activity that will help to feed the hungry of Milwaukee in a very healthy way. We will then help unload the cache and find out how many pounds of apples our efforts produced. There will be a contest for who can guess closest to the weight of apples picked; the winner will receive a $50 VISA gift card.
Donations to HTF are not mandatory, but they would be greatly appreciated. If you would like to make a donation, please bring checks payable to Hunger Task Force of Milwaukee. If you are unable to attend and would still like to donate, please mail your check to Hunger Task Force of Milwaukee, 5000 W. Electric Ave., West Milwaukee, WI 53219. Please note to add “Donation via PCA-MKE” on the memo line. There are (3) options available for Cousins lunch sandwiches: 1) Ham, 2) Turkey, 3) Vegetarian. We need to know your preference so that we can order the correct quantities of each. Water and chips will be provided for the lunches. This event concludes with lunch. Spend your morning with us to help feed those who are hungry.
