Street survival driving clinic at Road America

Date and Time:  Aug. 22, 2020 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Cost:  $140 per person, $80 for existing West Bend Insurance customers

Who can attend:  Anyone with a regular drivers license or learners permit.  Attendees do not need to be PCA members, so feel free to include your children, grandchildren, friends, neighbors, etc.

Description of Event:   This hands-on drivers training event goes beyond typical drivers education by putting participants in common emergency situations while in a safe, controlled, off-street environment. Participants practice collision avoidance techniques that include: emergency lane changes, braking, skid control and a variety of other fundamental car control drills.  Even with advanced collision avoidance systems in today’s modern automobiles, the laws of physics still apply!  While this event is geared toward teen drivers, even experienced adults will benefit from a refresher in maintaining car control during unexpected, emergency situations.

Vehicles will be provided by Road America for instructional purposes with plenty of seat time with experienced Road America instructors throughout the day.  Vehicles provided will be the Chevrolet Cruze, Impala, Malibu or similar.

A 30-minute lunch break is provided during the day.  Participants are encouraged to bring a bag lunch or visit nearby Elkhart Lake or Plymouth.

Signup:  Event registration will be setup through shortly.  An email will be sent out in June to all PCA club members with a link to the registration page.  Payment will be due at the time of registration.  In order to ensure proper instruction for participants, we need to limit this event to 27 individuals.
